Call of Duty Warzone Mobile

Call of Duty is one of the most popular game titles in the world now. Since its debut in 2003, the franchise has brought new advancements in shooting games and the first-person shooter genre that saw it bag a ton of awards in the last two decades. It is developed by the American company Infinity Ward and produced by Activision.

In October 2019; 16 years after the first call of duty, the franchise launched its first-ever mobile game Call of Duty (COD) Mobile. COD mobile became an instant hit and amassed more than 100 million downloads in the first 2 months of its launch. Today, a little over 3 years down the road, COD mobile still remains at the top of the most downloaded games list on both the play store and the app store.

After the massive success of COD Mobile, the developers are looking to make another hand-held title the CALL OF DUTY WARZONE MOBILE. COD warzone is already available on consoles and PC since march 2020 while COD warzone 2 was released for PC and consoles in November last year.

Everything We Know About Call of Duty Warzone Mobile So Far

Pre Registrations

Call of Duty Warzone Mobile pre-registrations opened on the Apple App Store on November 17, 2022. Those who pre-register for the game will get some rewards or discounts.

The battle royale title is powered by Call of Duty 2.0 technology. It will come with social features like friends and chat channels, XP, weapon inventories, load-outs, and Battle Pass across platforms for a connected Call of Duty experience.

New Studios

Activision has gathered several notable gaming studios and teams to work on the project. Solid State Studios (Activision’s new internal mobile team), Digital Legends, Beenox, Activision Shanghai, and Demonware will all come together to develop Warzone Mobile.

Release Dates

Along with the very first COD Warzone Mobile announcement, Activision also declared that they would be hiring many individuals to work on the new project.

The developers have also revealed the expected launch date of the game on iOS and iPadOS platforms which happens to be May 15, 2023, worldwide. It has already been released as a closed beta in select regions for Android.

Details And Features of Call of Duty Warzone Mobile

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will bring the Warzone experience of PC and consoles to Android and iOS. Activision claims it will be the “highest quality Battle Royale mobile game experience.” The game will have mobile-specific events, playlists, content, and control customization options for players.

The game will allow up to 120 players to duke it out in battle royale mode on their mobile phones. It features Call of Duty: Warzone combat in gunplay, movement, and vehicles; authentic content with the popular cod operators, weapons, and maps; and a unique Call of Duty: Warzone gameplay, as per the developers.

Many of the same weapons and Operators will feature across all three titles, which simplifies the shared progression concept. In addition, you’ll be able to advance a unified Battle Pass across Warzone Mobile, Modern Warfare 2, and Warzone 2.0.

One such example that the Call of Duty team has provided is the scenario of unlocking a new weapon in Modern Warfare 2 and it appearing directly on Warzone Mobile shortly after.

Activision has also confirmed that Warzone Mobile will indeed feature multiplayer as well as battle royale, allowing players to use the mode to practice. This is great for players who are looking to get used to the way Warzone feels on mobile, allowing them to play a mode in which players can respawn.

New Maps

Ever since the call of duty Warzone Mobile teaser trailer, there have been hints about the new maps to be added. Activision confirmed that Warzone Mobile players will be heading to the Verdansk map.

All of Verdansk’s classic POIs including Downton, SuperStore, and Dam will be returning in the faithful transition to mobile. Players will also run into the classic Buy Stations, Gulag, and Contracts across Verdansk. This is great for players who have been calling for the map to return.

Opinions and what to expect

Though the popularity of COD Warzone is massive and players are waiting for this game to come soon. Public opinion and expectation is something that plays an important role in the success of any game. And fortunately for Call of duty Warzone, the early reviews from closed beta players is very positive.

“The gameplay is damn good and much better than COD mobile. It is challenging and a little tough to win in Warzone. It has much realistic recoil and advanced movement mechanics” said an anonymous beta player.

Though this betterment is expected to make the new game even larger in size compared to its predecessor. It is also expected to be more demanding in terms of CPU and GPU requirements.

This could be a huge problem for players having low and medium-tier devices. We can only hope the developers can take care of this by optimizing the game for a range of devices so every cod fan can have an enjoyable call of duty warzone mobile experience.

Call of Duty Mobile vs Call of Duty Warzone Mobile

Call of Duty Warzone Mobile

Every updated version is a better version of its original, having its own pros and cons. So is this.

Call of Duty Mobile and Call of duty Warzone Mobile both are trending topics in gaming. On the one hand, fans are excited and happy about the arrival of Warzone Mobile, and also on the other side, they are satisfied with CODM too.

As it will surely lead to a great clash between CODM and Warzone after its release. Now the question is which is better among these two and compatible enough to play on a wide range of devices.

GRAPHICS

In terms of graphics, as per the sources, COD Warzone mobile has been made far more realistic than COD Mobile. CODM provides really impressive graphics, but there will be a wide difference between CODM and Warzone Mobile.

Storage and system requirements

When it comes to mobile gaming, the most important points are system requirements(CPU and GPU ) and the size of the game. Since there are no official updates as such for the storage and system requirement of Warzone Mobile but having great quality, graphics, and mechanics of the game, it is expected that Warzone Mobile may take as high as 4GB to 6GB in total. It will also be more resource-hungry meaning players having low to lower mid-tier devices may get a much worse gameplay experience.

On the other hand, CODM takes 2.4GB of storage and currently runs relatively well even on lower mid-tier devices, especially on snapdragon-powered devices.

If Warzone Mobile is optimized enough by the developers, then it may run really well for players even with lower-end devices. But we will have to wait for the game to be available to a much wider user base before we can draw any conclusions.

MOVEMENTS AND MECHANICS

Movements and mechanics play a crucial role in the gameplay of any game. The movements and mechanics of CODM have enhanced a lot since its launch with several updates provided by the developers over the years. For Warzone Mobile, developers have allegedly tried copying the PC version of Warzone and were successful too. In that case, Warzone Mobile may actually be way more realistic and mind-blowing than any other battle royale we have tried so far.
