In October last year, at the 10-year celebration of League of Legends, Riot Games announced multiple new projects across all platforms. The grand event also featured the announcement of Riot game’s latest game Legends of Runeterra.
Now, the game has been launched recently for both iOS and Android as a beta before the actual release.

Legends of Runeterra is a strategy card game where your skill, creativity, and cunning decide your victory. There are six major regions in the game. They are – Demacia, Noxus, Freljord, Piltover & Zaun, Ionia, and the Shadow Isles. All of these different regions have their own playstyle and strategic advantages.
Legends of Runeterra will feature champions from the League of Legends while adding new characters to the mix. At launch, there is a total of 24 champions from different regions to choose from.
Players can earn new cards as they progress through the game. They also speed up the process by spending real cash using microtransactions to acquire specific cards.
Well, to be fair, NOBODY is a fan of microtransactions, but we’ll reserve judgment on whether these are “pay-to-win” features until we get our hands on the final version of the game.
The release on mobile corresponds with the version 1.0 launch on PC. We hope to see a lot more development on both platforms. Overall, we are very much excited to see how the game grows on mobile over time.
Let us know what you feel about the game in the comments. Also, don’t forget to turn on notifications for Shadow Knight Gaming. So, you never miss an update!
We will continue to bring you the latest mobile game news updates before anyone else.
