After years of being left in the dark, the second season of Tower of God was finally confirmed at the Crunchyroll Expo 2022 with a short trailer teasing its return.

Thus many expected the anime series to be released in 2023. However, there have been no further announcements.

Due to this, fans can assume that the earliest Tower of God Season 2 will be released in Mid to Late 2024, taking into account the amount of time it will take to market and promote the series.

Tower of God Season 1 Recap

Tower of God Season 1 took us to a world where people spend their lives trying to conquer a magic tower that is believed to grant their dreams and wishes.

The protagonist, Bam, is an innocent boy who has no desire to climb the tower for these reasons but wishes to reunite with his friend, Rachel, who became a climber of the tower.

In his journey of chasing after her, Bam makes several meaningful friendships while trying to defeat the hurdles that each floor holds.

Through each episode, we go deeper into the lore of the world while also having more and more questions about the existence of the tower as well as the godly beings who stay on the higher floor.

The first season ended with a shocking plot twist which left many viewers on the verge of tears while even more in disbelief.

Tower of God Season 2 Plot

If we follow the webtoon, season 2 of Tower of God will take us on a 6-year time skip after the events of season 1.

It will majorly follow a whole new cast of characters starting with Wangnan, a boy who seems to be ordinary but has a unique connection to the rulers of the tower.

Along with this, the main addition to the cast will be Jue Viole Grace. As a candidate for an organization known as FUG, he is believed to be a dangerous villain.

In truth, however, he is a familiar face whom fans will be very excited to get to know.

Crunchyroll released the initial trailer for Tower of God season 2 on the day of its August 2022 announcement.

In the short teaser which is mostly a recap of the previous season, we see Bam and Rachel presented with their “final chance” to reach the top of the tower.

Unfortunately, there has been no further trailer or PV release for Tower of God Season 2.
