Top 10 Mobile Games to Beat Your Boredom

Not everyone is a hard-core gamer, but everyone does have free time when they get bored and have nothing to do at the moment. And at times like those we look for games that don’t need a lot of time to master but are fun to play.

That’s why games like Subway Surfers, Candy Crush, Angry Birds, Temple Run, and Jet Pack are still popular.

The main reason behind the success of these games is that they are easy to understand and don’t need hours to level up, but it’s been a while since these games have been released, and the world of mobile games has changed (a lot) since then.

And that’s why we decided to find 10 Mobile games to help you kill boredom.

Disclaimer

Before we jump straight to the list, there are things that you should know.

Even though the games listed at positions 10 and 1 will have a significant difference, this is not a ranking; ultimately, it is up to you to choose the game or genre that you want to play.

Additionally, we paid close attention to details like the ease of play, the minimum amount of information needed, and the game being easy yet difficult so it stays fun and competitive to play. Along with all of these, we also kept this in mind as this list is made for people who just want to play games casually, so the size of the recommended game is less than 500 mb, and most of them are games that you can play offline.

All of the games we’ll recommend will have the aforementioned qualities, but we also make sure that each game we mention differs from the others in terms of gameplay and concept.

Top 10 Mobile Games to Beat Boredom

plants vs zombies

Plants vs. Zombies

Plants vs. Zombies was launched in 2004 by the EA (Electronic Arts) studios, and it is a classic when it comes to games. Yet it has made its way to the hearts of players even in the year 2022, and there are no signs of its popularity dropping soon. Despite being released a very long time ago, the game is still receiving updates, and developers are working on it so it doesn’t stay behind the trend.

Plants vs. Zombies defies logic in every possible way, but when you can have fun, who cares about logic? You’ve got to defend your garden from the zombies’ attacks with the help of powerful plants.

To deal with 26 types of zombies, you’ve got 49 types of plants at your disposal. You can come up with different strategies to deal with them, and you better be ready to come up with strategies as the game challenges you by throwing huge waves of zombies at you, and sometimes it becomes very hectic to deal with all of them at once.

If you liked the concept of the game but 50 levels is not enough for you, then you can always try Plant vs. Zombies 2, with extra crazy defiance of logic and more fun. That said, to me the original game looked a lot better.

vector

Vector

Another game that was released way back but is still living in the hearts of players

Vector is a thrilling arcade game where you play as an exceptional free runner who shall not be constrained by the rules of society. The first scene of the game shows you a totalitarian society where individual freedom is little more than a dream that can’t come true. However, a free runner’s heart is strong, and you soon manage to escape. running, vaulting, sliding, and climbing while being pursued by “Big Brother,” whose only goal is to capture you and bring you back.

The simple controls of the game are enjoyable for players of all skills and levels, and its sophisticated level design tests the most demanding players with its quick-thinking timing and puzzles.

If you liked the game and think that there aren’t enough levels, don’t worry; the game has a sequel with more awesome and crazy stunts, and if you aren’t short on cash, you can buy the paid version of the game.

Cut the Rope

Cut the Rope

Let’s call it a series rather than a game, as there are more than enough parts to it. If you’ve got too much time to waste, this is the right place.

In the game, you’ll encounter a cute monster and have to fulfill his wish, and the little monster inside has only one request: candy!

Follow the adventure of Om Nom in the legendary “Cut the Rope” logic puzzle series; as you progress in the game, its hunger and challenges will increase.

Limbo

Limbo (Paid)

For those who like to play single-player casual adventure games, Limbo is the only option for you. It’s a near-perfect masterpiece game, and one should definitely play this game. Its storyline is freaking disturbing yet beautiful.

“Uncertain of his sister’s fate, a boy enters LIMBO.”

A nameless boy who awakens in a forest on the outskirts of purgatory while looking for his sister is the main character of the video game Limbo.

After he wakes up, he runs into many difficulties and is ultimately returned to the beginning. He then walks for a short distance before running into the girl, who startles when he approaches her and stands up. The game ends abruptly at this point when the screen goes black.

The game’s background theme gives it a foreboding air, but it’s not a scary game, and you should play it at least once.

This game will be worth the money you’ll spend on it.

Brick Break Mission

Brick Break Mission

The game works on a simple logic: just shoot balls with a touch and break all the bricks to clear the stages.

In the game, you have to shoot the ball with a touch, and upon hitting the bricks, it’ll cause damage to them. The durability of everybody will be mentioned on it, and when the durability reaches 0, the brick is destroyed.

If the bricks reach the bottom of the screen before you destroy them, the game will end, and you’ll have to start over to finish the stage.

It seems easy, but the sheer number of levels will make it tough, and it might seem easy, but often things ain’t what they seem, so be ready for the challenge.

The Brick Break mission is packed with lots and lots of levels, so you might run out of time to play them, but the levels won’t end. and that’s what makes it fun.

tiles hop edm rush

Tiles Hop EDM Rush

Let’s add some music to the party. Tiles Hop is a musical EDM rush game where you’ve got to jump the tiles on the beats. Rolling the ball from tile to tile while listening to the magical music and rhythm is important so don’t forget to skip the beat.

It’s very simple to play but hard to master the game as there is no end, but jumping the balls on your favorite music and the speed of it increases every time you complete the song, and believe me, it is really fun to listen to your music at a fast pace and play alongside it.

Helix jump

Helix Jump

Reach the bottom without stepping on the wrong tile—a simple concept, isn’t it—but are you sure you can do it as the space that the ball can pass through decreases every time you pass a level and the height of the tower increases with you completing every level?

Follow the exciting adventure of a bouncing ball through the helix tower and help it reach the bottom without jumping on the wrong tile.

There isn’t really much to learn. one-tap, easy-to-learn controls and the goal is to reach the bottom.

Leo's Fortune

Leo’s Fortune (paid)

Adventure through a gorgeously handcrafted world to recover your stolen gold.

One day, when Leopold returned home, he saw that he had been robbed, and the thief had left traces in the form of gold coins. Now Leopold wants his wealth back; it doesn’t matter if it’s in the forest or in caves.

If you think it’s not challenging enough, finish the game and unlock Hardcore Mode; if possible, try to beat the whole game without dying once and be among the few to achieve this rare achievement.

The game allows you to compete with your friends and see who gets the upper hand.

Demon Hunter

Demon Hunter and Demon Hunter Premium

Life can be hard sometimes, and hacking and slashing become the only option to relieve the stress. Of course, that is not possible in real life, but there is no such restraint in the world of video games, and here you’ll get tonnes of monsters to hack and slash your way through.

If you are in that situation, then Demon Hunter becomes the right choice for you as it’s a dark fantasy hack-and-slash game where you don’t have to just press the buttons mindlessly, its combat system is different from the usual hack-and-slash games. On top of that, the boss fights are super amazing.

The game is available in both versions; it’s up to you to decide whether you want to play the free one or the paid one.

Wrestling Revolution 3D

Wrestling Revolution 3D

Anyone who is looking for some WWE action in a mobile game will find this game will give them a close experience to that of a WWE 2K game. As this is not the official game from the WWE Network, you’ll find the names of the characters a little different than the real ones, but you’ll be able to identify which character is which if you have a little knowledge of WWE.

You’ll be able to find almost all the matches and special events in the game, and you’ll be able to challenge the champion for the championship and win them. Even if you are not a fan of WWE, a little punching, kicking, and grabbing along with the pinfall and 1, 2, and 3 will give you a better feeling of winning.

That’s all for now. I hope you’ve found this information useful and that you’ll try at least one of these games when you get bored.
